- EMERGENCY FAMILY ASSISTANCE:
Tony’s Treehouse was born out of an unforeseen family tragedy, making this program the heart and soul of our Foundation. Over our 25 years, this fund has assisted those facing a life crisis, such as the sudden loss of a child, the loss of a job that supports an entire family, or losses resulting from SoCal Wildfires with many families flee with only the clothes on their back. Tony’s Treehouse has sent financial aid to individual families, giving them IMMEDIATE emergency relief. The Treehouse has funds set aside for such life-altering events, and when notified of a need, we will respond with help. While we cannot take away the pain, we can offer a hand up to individuals and families facing a crisis. After all, that’s what compassionate souls did for Becky and her family.
- STEVEN’S BLESSING BAGS:
In loving memory of Becky’s beloved nephew, Steven Hernandez, our dedicated volunteers unite to assemble and deliver hundreds of Care Kits for our homeless brothers and sisters in Orange County. These well-intentioned kits include essential hygiene items, first aid supplies, socks, blankets, rain ponchos and other necessary provisions, as donations allow. The ‘Blessing Bags’ are then distributed to the Friendship Shelter of Laguna Beach and the emergency Sleep Shelter located in Laguna Canyon.
- FAMILY OUTREACH:
Tony’s Treehouse addresses the everyday needs of the working poor and needy families in our Orange County community by providing essential items such as food staples, laundry and household supplies, and personal care products. Individuals in need are identified through various channels, including our local public school system and our local Boys and Girls Clubs.
- HOLIDAY ADOPT-A-FAMILY PROGRAM:
This program is a holiday favorite! During the season, we connect with individuals and families facing hardships such as job loss, health issues, or death of a family member. There are two ways to participate:
- Volunteers can choose the size of the family they wish to ‘adopt,’ receive a ‘Family Bio’ and Wish List, shop for and wrap the gifts, and deliver them to the designated location. We strive to match your preferences and, if you have children, align with the ages of the adopted family.
- Alternatively, you can donate to Tony’s Treehouse, and our volunteers will shop, wrap, and deliver the presents on your behalf. *WE HAVE A BUDGET FOR EVERY SIZE WALLET*
Local families are identified through the Boys and Girls Club and the Orange County public school system. On occasion, Treehouse supporters will reach out, making us aware of a family in need. Parents appreciate this program as it allows their children to participate in a meaningful project. One common feedback about Adopt-A-Family is, “This was the BEST part of our holiday season!”
- JETTE FORWARD INITIATIVE:
In remembrance of our cherished Jette R. Anderson from Laguna Beach, a devoted supporter of Tony’s Treehouse, we have established this special scholarship to honor her generous spirit. Qualified individuals with entrepreneurial aspirations are awarded financial scholarships to help them realize their vision of a better life, allowing them to ‘Jette Forward’ with their dreams.
- THE TONY MARTINEZ CAMP SCHOLARSHIP FUND:
For many low-income families in South Orange County, summer camps and field trips are often unattainable luxuries. Our scholarship fund aims to bridge this gap by offering school children the chance to participate in enriching experiences such as Sports & Art Camp, Long Beach Aquarium field trips, and even a day at Knott’s Berry Farm, along with summer and winter camp programs. We collaborate closely with the local Boys & Girls Club to identify and support the children who are most in need of these opportunities. Through this partnership, we strive to ensure that every child has the chance to explore, learn, and grow.
Donations also help offset our Administrative Costs:
* Printed materials and publications serve as tools to solicit donations from local small businesses.
* Governmental fees associated with maintaining our Nonprofit tax-exempt status and privileges
* Postage cost for various mailings such as newsletters and holiday fundraisers
* Insurance Costs for Business/Liability policies
