WHEN: Saturday, February 17, 2024, anytime between 9am and noon

WHERE: Ramakrishna Vedanta Monastery (19961 Live Oak Canyon Road, Trabuco Canyon, CA  After you turn off Live Oak Canyon Road, follow the small road all the way up… see sign below)

All are welcome, please share with a friend! If you have them handy, bring gloves for your indoor/outdoor project preference, along with a water bottle.

The Ramakrishna Monastery of the Vedanta Society welcomes every walk of life. This is a ‘working monastery’ where the monks maintain the buildings and grounds, which includes a shrine and shrine trail, honoring the world’s major religions. It is open to the public to enjoy, and they also have weekly Sunday Service with dynamic, uplifting messages given by the Swami’s.

Their sign is on Live Oak Canyon Road, when entering, PLEASE BE CAREFUL on the drive up to the Monastery, it’s curvy and has some two way traffic, GO SLOW and watch for bike riders and hikers.

This is our favorite area on Work Day… the back garden/atrium area needs some love…weed pulling, raking, shrub trimming, and all that good stuff. There are lots of opportunities for outdoor pick-up/gardening/grounds clean-up, especially after the rains. The ‘Swami’s Garden’ also gives more opportunities for gardening, weeding, raking, and general clean-up.

Becky, Swami ‘D’, and Sue in the gorgeous bookstore located at the monastery. There are lot of indoor housekeeping needs such as dusting, sweeping, organizing!

Here are some more indoor needs: the main lecture hall needs some TLC, along with the kitchen, and pantry areas.

Look forward to seeing you there!
